Best SUVs With a Panoramic Sunroof Under Rs 20 Lakh in India (2026)

Best SUVs With a Panoramic Sunroof Under Rs 20 Lakh in India (2026)

No SUV here fits a panoramic sunroof to its base variant, so this list ranks each model by the cheapest variant that has one. Six clear Rs 15 lakh: Curvv, Creta, Victoris, Grand Vitara, Sierra and Hector. On the two Maruti SUVs the roof is on the (O) variants only and never with CNG. The Honda Elevate and the cheaper Taigun trims have a single-pane sunroof, not a panoramic one. The Kia Seltos, Toyota Hyryder, Renault Duster and Tata Nexon have panoramic roofs but their variant prices could not be read from the makers, so they are not ranked.

Eight SUVs have a panoramic sunroof on a variant we could price below Rs 20 lakh from the manufacturer's own price list, and six of them get there under Rs 15 lakh. The cheapest is the Tata Curvv Creative X+ at Rs 12,90,990, followed by the Hyundai Creta EX(O) at Rs 13,14,200, the Maruti Victoris ZXI(O) at Rs 13,69,000 and the Maruti Grand Vitara Zeta(O) at Rs 13,89,100. The Tata Sierra, MG Hector, Volkswagen Taigun and Tata Harrier complete the list.

The model's starting price tells you nothing here. No SUV on this page puts a panoramic roof on its base variant, so the number that matters is the price of the cheapest variant that has one. That is the only test this list applies. It also keeps panoramic roofs apart from ordinary single-pane sunroofs, which several brochures list as a separate feature on cheaper trims.

Prices are ex-showroom, read from each manufacturer's own price list on 13 October 2026. Maruti prices are the Delhi figures for single-tone paint; dual-tone paint adds Rs 15,400 on both Maruti variants. Tata's site prices by city and was read at its default location.

How this list was built, and what was not verified

Each row needed two things from the manufacturer: a brochure or variant list that names the panoramic sunroof on that variant, and a price for that exact variant. Feature availability came from the Maruti, Hyundai, Volkswagen and MG brochures and from Tata's variant cards. Prices came from Maruti's Arena and NEXA price pages, Hyundai's price page, Volkswagen's Taigun page, MG's Hector page and Tata's price pages.

Five SUVs have a panoramic sunroof but did not make the table, because the price of the qualifying variant could not be read from the maker:

  • Kia Seltos: Kia's site says the dual pane panoramic sunroof is on every variant from the HTK(O). It publishes a range of Rs 11,24,900 to Rs 21,56,900 but no price for the HTK(O) itself.
  • Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder: the brochure puts the panoramic sunroof on the NeoDrive G(O) and V and the Hybrid G(O) and V. Toyota publishes no ex-showroom prices on its Indian website.
  • Renault Duster: the brochure adds an electric panoramic sunroof at the adventure version, two steps up from the base authentic. Renault's site showed a starting price of Rs 10,49,000 and nothing for the adventure.
  • Tata Nexon: Tata's variant list shows a panoramic sunroof from the Pure + PS. The range starts at Rs 7,39,990, but the Pure + PS price did not load, so it is not ranked. It is a smaller and cheaper car than anything in the table, so ask a dealer for that variant's price before settling on one of the eight.
  • Mahindra Scorpio N and Thar Roxx: Mahindra's brochures describe a panoramic Skyroof on the Scorpio N and Thar Roxx, and the Thar Roxx brochure lists a single-pane sunroof as a separate item. Mahindra's site did not show variant prices when we checked.

The Mahindra XUV 7XO, Skoda Kushaq, MG Astor and Nissan Tekton were not checked at all, so their absence says nothing about them. Mileage is quoted only where the maker's brochure prints it; Tata and Hyundai do not.

Panoramic or single pane: read the brochure line

The word sunroof covers two different things, and the brochures are careful about it even when showroom conversations are not.

Volkswagen's Taigun brochure has two rows. "Electric sunroof" is ticked for the Highline Plus and GT Line. "Panoramic sunroof with summer function" is ticked for the Topline and the two GT Plus variants. So a Taigun Highline Plus at Rs 14,41,900 has a sunroof, but not a panoramic one, and the panoramic roof starts Rs 1.8 lakh higher.

Honda's Elevate brochure lists a "One-Touch Electric Sunroof with Slide/Tilt Function" from the VX upward. That is a single-pane roof on every variant, which is why the Elevate is not on this list at any price. Tata does the same split on the Nexon, where the Smart + S has a voice-assisted electric sunroof and the PS variants have the panoramic one.

On the two Maruti SUVs there is no single-pane option. A Victoris or Grand Vitara either has the panoramic roof or has a metal one.

1. Tata Curvv Creative X+, Rs 12,90,990

The lowest price here for a panoramic roof. Tata lists the AeroView voice-assisted panoramic sunroof from the Creative X+, and the Smart X, Pure X and Pure X+ below it go without. The Accomplished X at Rs 13,99,990 keeps the roof and adds ventilated front seats and a wireless charger. The top Accomplished X+ variants add mood lighting to the roof.

The Curvv holds a 5-star Bharat NCAP rating with 29.50 out of 32 for adults and 43.66 out of 49 for children. At this price you get the roof and not much else from the comfort list. The ventilated seats and wireless charger need another Rs 1.09 lakh.

2. Hyundai Creta EX(O), Rs 13,14,200

Hyundai's brochure marks the "Smart panoramic" sunroof as standard on the EX(O), the S(O) and the S(O) Knight. Five of those variants cost less than Rs 15 lakh: the EX(O) petrol manual at Rs 13,14,200, the S(O) petrol manual at Rs 14,20,700, the S(O) Knight Edition at Rs 14,39,200, the EX(O) petrol IVT at Rs 14,49,700 and the EX(O) diesel manual at Rs 14,73,200.

That spread is the Creta's real advantage. It is the only SUV on this page where we could confirm a panoramic roof with an automatic gearbox, or with a diesel engine, below Rs 15 lakh. The 1.5 petrol makes 115 PS and 143.8 Nm and the 1.5 diesel 116 PS and 250 Nm. The E and EX below have a fixed roof.

3. Maruti Victoris ZXI(O), Rs 13,69,000

The Victoris brochure shows the panoramic sunroof only on the (O) versions of the ZXI and ZXI+. The ZXI(O) manual is Rs 7,100 more than the plain ZXI, which makes the roof one of the cheapest options on any car here.

Seven (O) variants are priced under Rs 20 lakh: the ZXI(O) manual at Rs 13,69,000, the ZXI(O) automatic at Rs 15,25,000, the ZXI+(O) manual at Rs 15,48,000, the ZXI+(O) automatic at Rs 17,43,000, the ZXI(O) strong hybrid at Rs 18,43,900, the ZXI+(O) AllGrip at Rs 19,26,900 and the ZXI+(O) strong hybrid at Rs 19,98,900, which clears the ceiling by Rs 1,100. No CNG variant has the roof.

The 1.5-litre K15C makes 103.06 PS and 139 Nm and claims 21.18 km/l with the manual; the strong hybrid claims 28.65 km/l. The Victoris has a 5-star Bharat NCAP rating, 31.66 out of 32 for adults and 43 out of 49 for children, covering the petrol and hybrid variants.

What the ZXI(O) does not have: ventilated seats, the head-up display, the 360-degree camera and the powered driver's seat are all ZXI+ items. You get the roof, a wireless charger with active cooling, LED projector headlamps and a powered tailgate.

4. Maruti Grand Vitara Zeta(O), Rs 13,89,100

The same idea on the NEXA car. The brochure ticks the panoramic sunroof with an (O) against the Zeta, the Alpha, the Zeta+ and the Alpha+, so only the option-pack versions have it. The Zeta(O) costs Rs 4,100 more than the Zeta.

Seven (O) variants fall under Rs 20 lakh, from the Zeta(O) manual at Rs 13,89,100 and the Zeta(O) automatic at Rs 15,24,100 up to the Alpha(O) AllGrip at Rs 18,62,600 and the Alpha+(O) strong hybrid at Rs 19,62,000. The Sigma, Delta and Delta+ never get the roof.

The Zeta is better equipped than the Victoris ZXI at the same money. It adds ventilated front seats and Auto Purify with a PM2.5 display to the wireless charger. Against that, the Grand Vitara has no Bharat NCAP rating and no ADAS on any variant, and the head-up display and powered seat wait for the Alpha. The petrol makes 103.06 PS and 139 Nm and claims 21.11 km/l as a manual.

5. Tata Sierra Pure L (O), Rs 14,29,000

Tata calls it Panoramax, and it appears on the Pure L (O) petrol manual at Rs 14,29,000. The Smart+ and the plain Pure and Pure L below it do not list it. The Adventure+ at Rs 16,14,000 restates the panoramic roof on its own card, so everything from there up is covered too.

One variant needs a dealer check. The Pure + L at Rs 14,99,000 lists ventilated seats and a powered driver's seat but its card does not restate the sunroof, so confirm it before assuming.

The Sierra's Bharat NCAP result is 31.14 out of 32 for adults and 44.73 out of 49 for children.

6. MG Hector Select Pro, Rs 14,94,800

The biggest car you can buy with a panoramic roof under Rs 15 lakh. MG's brochure marks the dual pane panoramic sunroof on every Hector except the base Style, and the Select Pro manual is the first variant with it. A wireless charger arrives on the same trim.

At 4,699 mm long the Hector is a size above the Creta class, which is the reason to consider it and also the reason it only just slips under Rs 15 lakh. The CVT versions start at Rs 17,14,800 on the Smart Pro. Front ventilated seats wait for the Sharp Pro at Rs 17,64,800.

7. Volkswagen Taigun Topline, Rs 16,21,900

The Taigun's panoramic roof starts at the Topline 1.0 TSI manual. The Topline automatic is Rs 17,37,900, and the two 1.5 TSI GT Plus variants with the same roof are Rs 19,16,900 and Rs 19,46,900. The 1.0 TSI makes 115 PS and 178 Nm and Volkswagen claims 19.98 km/l for the manual.

Below the Topline, the Highline Plus and GT Line have the ordinary electric sunroof described above.

8. Tata Harrier Pure X, Rs 16,39,990

Tata's price page lists the voice-assisted panoramic sunroof on the Harrier Pure X, the second variant in the range, at Rs 16,39,990. The base Smart at Rs 12,99,990 does not have it. A wireless charger and ventilated front seats do not show up until the Fearless X at Rs 20,24,990, which is over this budget.

Which one to buy

If the roof is the whole point, the Curvv Creative X+ gets you one for the least money, and the Victoris ZXI(O) and Creta EX(O) are within Rs 80,000 of it.

For a panoramic roof and an automatic under Rs 15 lakh, the Creta EX(O) IVT at Rs 14,49,700 is the only one we could confirm. For a roof and a strong hybrid, the Grand Vitara Zeta+(O) at Rs 18,55,300 and the Victoris ZXI(O) strong hybrid at Rs 18,43,900 are the two options under Rs 20 lakh.

Between the two Marutis, the Grand Vitara Zeta(O) gives you more for Rs 20,100 extra, mainly the ventilated seats. The Victoris gives you the crash rating.

No. Honda's brochure lists a one-touch electric sunroof with slide and tilt, from the VX upward. It is a single-pane roof.
