The E-CNG variant uses the same K-series engine with Toyota's factory-fitted E-CNG technology, delivering 100.6 PS and 136 Nm in petrol mode, dropping to 87.8 PS and 121.5 Nm on CNG. The claimed CNG efficiency is 26.6 km/kg (ARAI), and the car carries both a 45-litre petrol tank and a 55-litre (water equivalent) CNG cylinder, giving it excellent range flexibility. Only a 5-speed manual is offered with the CNG kit.

The strong-hybrid system is the Hyryder's crown jewel. The Hyryder's closest sibling is the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, which shares the same platform, engines, and hybrid system but starts slightly cheaper at ₹10.77 lakh. The Grand Vitara also now offers Level 2 ADAS on the Victoris-badged variant, which the Hyryder currently lacks. The Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos are the volume benchmarks in the segment, offering turbocharged petrol and diesel options alongside mild-hybrid petrol, but neither matches the Hyryder's 27.97 km/l strong-hybrid efficiency.
