Best Mid-Size SUVs Under Rs 20 Lakh With ADAS and a Sunroof (2026)
On seven of these eight SUVs the trim that brings ADAS already has the sunroof, so combining them costs nothing extra. The Maruti Victoris is the exception: its ADAS variant, the ZXI+ 6AT at Rs 17,33,900, has no roof, and the ZXI+(O) 6AT with both is Rs 9,100 more. Under the Rs 20 lakh ceiling only the Hyundai Creta offers the pair with a diesel, and only the Victoris offers it with all-wheel drive, at Rs 19,26,900 for the AllGrip ZXI+(O). Adaptive cruise control needs an automatic on the Creta, Tekton and Victoris.
Eight mid-size SUVs fit a sunroof and a Level 2 ADAS suite to the same variant for less than Rs 20 lakh. The MG Astor Savvy Pro CVT does it at Rs 15,30,100 and leaves Rs 4.70 lakh of a Rs 20 lakh budget unspent. The Nissan Tekton Tekna is Rs 15,39,000, the Renault Duster iconic Rs 16,99,000, the Hyundai Creta King Rs 17,27,800, the Maruti Victoris ZXI+(O) 6AT Rs 17,43,000, the Tata Harrier Adventure X+ Rs 17,59,990 and the Tata Sierra Accomplished Rs 17,99,000, and the MG Hector Savvy Pro CVT scrapes in at Rs 19,64,800.
The useful question at this budget is not which cars have both features, but how much the combination costs on top of the ADAS variant you were already going to buy, and what is left over. On seven of the eight the answer is nothing extra, because the trim that brings driver assistance already has the roof. On the Maruti Victoris it is Rs 9,100, because Maruti sells the sunroof as part of an option pack the ADAS variant does not include by default.
What the pair costs, and what is left of Rs 20 lakh
| SUV | Cheapest variant with ADAS | Cheapest variant with a sunroof | Cheapest with both | Extra over the ADAS variant | Left under Rs 20 lakh |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| MG Astor | Savvy Pro CVT, Rs 15,30,100 | Select 5MT, Rs 12,40,100 | Rs 15,30,100 | None | Rs 4,69,900 |
| Nissan Tekton | Tekna, Rs 15,39,000 | N-Connecta, Rs 13,69,000 | Rs 15,39,000 | None | Rs 4,61,000 |
| Renault Duster | iconic, Rs 16,99,000 | adventure, Rs 12,99,000 | Rs 16,99,000 | None | Rs 3,01,000 |
| Hyundai Creta | King 1.5 petrol MT, Rs 17,27,800 | EX(O) 1.5 petrol MT, Rs 13,14,200 | Rs 17,27,800 | None | Rs 2,72,200 |
| Maruti Victoris | ZXI+ 6AT, Rs 17,33,900 | ZXI(O) 5MT, Rs 13,69,000 | ZXI+(O) 6AT, Rs 17,43,000 | Rs 9,100 | Rs 2,57,000 |
| Tata Harrier | Adventure X+, Rs 17,59,990 | Pure X, Rs 16,39,990 | Rs 17,59,990 | None | Rs 2,40,010 |
| Tata Sierra | Accomplished, Rs 17,99,000 | Pure L (O), Rs 14,29,000 | Rs 17,99,000 | None | Rs 2,01,000 |
| MG Hector | Savvy Pro CVT, Rs 19,64,800 | Select Pro MT, Rs 14,94,800 | Rs 19,64,800 | None | Rs 35,200 |
Prices are ex-showroom and were read from each maker's own price page or variant list on 15 October 2026. Maruti figures are Delhi single-tone prices from Maruti's price feed; dual-tone paint adds Rs 15,400 and takes the ZXI+(O) 6AT to Rs 17,58,400, which still clears the ceiling. Tata prices by city and was read at its default location, petrol manual only.
Every roof in that table is a panoramic one. No mid-size SUV under Rs 20 lakh gets you a cheaper way in by fitting an ordinary single pane roof instead, which is the opposite of what happens a class below.
The Victoris is the one that needs the variant code read twice
Maruti's grid marks the panoramic sunroof row with "(O)" against the ZXI and ZXI+ and marks every ADAS row, from adaptive cruise control through lane keep assist to blind spot monitor, with "6AT" in the ZXI+ column. Those are two different conditions, and only the ZXI+(O) 6AT satisfies both.
So the Victoris ladder at this budget reads: ZXI(O) 5MT at Rs 13,69,000 for a roof and no assistance, ZXI+ 6AT at Rs 17,33,900 for assistance and a metal roof, ZXI+(O) 6AT at Rs 17,43,000 for both. There is no manual, no S-CNG and no strong hybrid version of the combination. The 28.65 km/l hybrid tops out at Rs 19,98,900 in ZXI+(O) form with ordinary cruise control, which is the single biggest trade-off in this segment: Maruti's most efficient Victoris and Maruti's only ADAS Victoris are different cars.
What you get for the Rs 17,43,000 is a 1.5-litre K15C petrol making 75.8 kW (103.06 PS) and 139 Nm, a claimed 21.06 km/l, six airbags, a 360-degree camera, a head-up display, ventilated front seats and a powered tailgate with gesture control, plus the best crash result in the table at 31.66 out of 32 and 43 out of 49 from Bharat NCAP, covering the petrol and hybrid variants but not the S-CNG.
What you can still choose, with both features, under Rs 20 lakh
The ceiling decides your gearbox and fuel as much as your badge.
| SUV | Petrol manual | Petrol automatic | Diesel | All-wheel drive |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| MG Astor | Not offered on Savvy Pro | Rs 15,30,100 | Not offered | No |
| Nissan Tekton | Rs 15,39,000 | Nissan says its automatics run to Rs 18,59,000 | Not offered | No |
| Renault Duster | Rs 16,99,000 | DCT price not published | Not offered | No |
| Hyundai Creta | Rs 17,27,800 | Rs 18,68,800 (IVT) | Rs 18,85,800 MT, Rs 19,77,800 AT | No |
| Maruti Victoris | Not offered with ADAS | Rs 17,43,000 | Not offered | Rs 19,26,900 AllGrip |
| Tata Harrier | Rs 17,59,990 | Price not published | Rs 17,59,990 is the diesel manual | No |
| Tata Sierra | Rs 17,99,000 | Price not published | Price not published | No |
| MG Hector | Not offered on Savvy Pro | Rs 19,64,800 | Diesel has no ADAS pack | No |
Two things fall out of that grid. The Creta is the only car here you can have as a diesel with both features inside the budget, in manual or automatic form. The Victoris is the only one you can have with all-wheel drive, and at Rs 19,26,900 the AllGrip ZXI+(O) is the cheapest way in India to put a sunroof, a Level 2 suite and four driven wheels in one car.
Adaptive cruise control is the function that gets withheld
Level 2 is a badge covering very different content, and adaptive cruise is the piece makers most often restrict to an automatic.
Hyundai's Creta brochure prints "IVT/AT/DCT only" against Smart Cruise Control with stop and go, so the King manual at Rs 17,27,800 has lane keeping, lane following, blind spot avoidance and forward collision avoidance, and ordinary cruise control. Nissan marks adaptive cruise with stop and go as DCT only on the Tekton, so the Rs 15,39,000 Tekna manual is in the same position. Maruti's entire ADAS block is 6AT, so the question never arises. MG offers the Astor Savvy Pro and the Hector Savvy Pro only as automatics, which is why both have the full suite working at their quoted price.
Tata does not state a gearbox condition for the Sierra Accomplished, and Renault does not state one for the Duster iconic. Those are the two to settle at the dealer before signing.
Priced out by the Rs 20 lakh ceiling
- Hyundai Creta King Knight diesel automatic, Rs 20,11,300. The cheapest Creta with both features that the budget rejects, by Rs 11,300. The plain King diesel automatic at Rs 19,77,800 does qualify.
- Tata Harrier Fearless X+, Rs 22,34,990, which is where Tata's fuller ADAS Level 2 suite with lane keep assist and autonomous emergency braking starts. The Adventure X+ in the table has the 13-function suite, not that one.
- Mahindra Thar Roxx AX7L, from Rs 19,57,000 for the diesel manual, which carries the Skyroof and the ADAS suite but not adaptive cruise; the petrol automatic that adds it is Rs 19,99,500 and the diesel automatic Rs 20,83,000.
- Mahindra Scorpio N Z8L petrol, from Rs 21,31,387, and Mahindra XUV 7XO AX7 TECH diesel, Rs 21,79,000, the two cheapest three-row SUVs with both features.
- Kia Seltos HTX (A), which has the dual pane panoramic sunroof from the HTK (O) and the 21-function ADAS pack. Kia publishes Rs 11,24,900 for the HTE and Rs 21,56,900 for the X-Line (O) and no figure in between, so it cannot be placed against the ceiling at all.
A class below, the same money buys the same pair
If the budget is the constraint rather than the size of the car, the Mahindra XUV 3XO undercuts every mid-size SUV here. Its AX5L has Level 2 ADAS and a single pane sunroof from Rs 12,02,500, and the AX7L has the suite with the panoramic Skyroof from Rs 13,32,500 for the turbo petrol manual. Mahindra's footnote limits adaptive cruise control and Smart Pilot Assist to "Luxury pack (L) Petrol Automatic variants", which is the AX7L automatic at Rs 15,03,500. That is still Rs 26,600 less than the Astor Savvy Pro, in a car a size down with a 29.36 out of 32 adult score at Bharat NCAP.
How this list was built, and what we could not verify
A model qualifies only when the maker's own brochure or variant list names both a sunroof and a Level 2 ADAS suite against the same variant, and the maker's own price page prices that variant below Rs 20 lakh. Feature fitment came from the Maruti, Hyundai, Nissan, Renault and Mahindra brochures and the Tata and MG variant cards. Prices came from Maruti's price feed, Hyundai's Creta price page, MG's Astor and Hector variant cards, Nissan's Tekton page, Renault's Duster page, Tata's Harrier and Sierra price pages and Mahindra's variant cards, read on 15 October 2026.
What is not settled: the Honda Elevate, whose ZX, ZX+ and ZX+ Black carry Honda Sensing alongside a single pane electric sunroof and which Honda prices city by city, so it may well belong in the table. Tata publishes only petrol manual prices for the Sierra and no price for the Harrier automatic. Renault publishes only the starting price of each Duster trim. Kia publishes no HTX (A) price. Mileage appears only where the maker's brochure prints it, which rules out Hyundai, Tata and MG. The Skoda Kushaq, Jeep Compass and Hyundai Alcazar were not checked.
Which one to pick
For the most money left over, the MG Astor Savvy Pro at Rs 15,30,100, with Rs 4.70 lakh of the budget still in hand. For a manual gearbox, the Nissan Tekton Tekna at Rs 15,39,000, accepting that its adaptive cruise needs the DCT.
For a diesel, the Hyundai Creta King, the only option inside the ceiling. For all-wheel drive, the Maruti Victoris AllGrip ZXI+(O) at Rs 19,26,900. For the largest car, the Tata Harrier Adventure X+ at Rs 17,59,990 or the MG Hector Savvy Pro at Rs 19,64,800, which leaves Rs 35,200 of headroom and nothing for accessories.

Frequently asked questions
Which mid-size SUV under Rs 20 lakh is the cheapest with both ADAS and a sunroof?
The MG Astor Savvy Pro CVT at Rs 15,30,100, then the Nissan Tekton Tekna at Rs 15,39,000. Both leave more than Rs 4.5 lakh of a Rs 20 lakh budget unspent.
How much more does the Maruti Victoris cost with the sunroof added to ADAS?
Rs 9,100. The ZXI+ 6AT with Level 2 ADAS is Rs 17,33,900 and has no sunroof, because Maruti fits the panoramic roof only to the (O) option-pack variants. The ZXI+(O) 6AT with both is Rs 17,43,000.
Can I get a diesel mid-size SUV with ADAS and a sunroof under Rs 20 lakh?
Only the Hyundai Creta, as the King diesel manual at Rs 18,85,800 or the King diesel automatic at Rs 19,77,800. The King Knight diesel automatic at Rs 20,11,300 is over the ceiling.
Does any variant pair ADAS and a sunroof with a manual gearbox?
Yes, on the Nissan Tekton Tekna, Renault Duster iconic, Hyundai Creta King, Tata Harrier Adventure X+ and Tata Sierra Accomplished. On the Creta and Tekton the manual loses adaptive cruise control. The MG Astor, MG Hector and Maruti Victoris sell the combination only as automatics.
Is there a Victoris strong hybrid with ADAS?
No. Maruti marks the whole ADAS block 6AT and the strong hybrid uses an e-CVT, so even the Rs 19,98,900 ZXI+(O) strong hybrid gets ordinary cruise control. The S-CNG has neither the suite nor the panoramic roof.
Do the Volkswagen Taigun, Maruti Grand Vitara or Toyota Hyryder qualify?
No. All three sell a sunroof partway up the range and none offers a Level 2 ADAS suite on any variant, so no price under Rs 20 lakh puts them on this list.
