SUVs With Adaptive Cruise Control Under Rs 20 Lakh: The Exact Variants (2026)

SUVs With Adaptive Cruise Control Under Rs 20 Lakh: The Exact Variants (2026)

An ADAS badge does not guarantee adaptive cruise control. On the XUV 3XO, Victoris, Creta and Thar Roxx it is fitted only to automatics, so the XUV 3XO AX5 L manual, Creta King manual and Thar Roxx AX3L have ADAS without it. The Victoris offers it on four ZXI+ automatics from Rs 17,33,900, two with AllGrip, and not on the strong hybrid. The Honda Elevate, Kia Seltos, Tata Harrier, Tata Sierra and Tata Curvv also offer it, but the price of the exact qualifying variant could not be read, so none of those is ranked.

Six SUVs have a variant with adaptive cruise control that we could price below Rs 20 lakh from the manufacturer's own brochure and price page: the Mahindra XUV 3XO (Rs 13,27,500), Renault Duster (from Rs 16,99,000), Maruti Victoris (Rs 17,33,900), Hyundai Creta (Rs 18,68,800), Mahindra Thar Roxx (Rs 19,41,000) and MG Hector (Rs 19,64,800). On four of the six it works only with an automatic gearbox, so the cheapest variant carrying the ADAS badge is often not the cheapest one with adaptive cruise.

That gap is the reason for this page. The XUV 3XO AX5 L manual costs Rs 12,02,500 and has Level 2 ADAS, but Mahindra's brochure says adaptive cruise control is fitted only to the petrol automatics, which start Rs 1,25,000 higher. The Creta King manual and the Thar Roxx AX3L are in the same position.

Prices are ex-showroom, read from each manufacturer's price page on 13 October 2026. Maruti Victoris prices are for single-tone paint, and dual-tone paint adds Rs 15,400 on the ZXI and above. Variant fitment comes from each manufacturer's current brochure. The Honda Elevate, Kia Seltos, Tata Harrier, Tata Sierra and Tata Curvv also offer adaptive cruise control, but we could not read a price for the exact variant that has it, so those are covered separately below.

The six we could verify

1. Mahindra XUV 3XO: Rs 13,27,500

The cheapest route by a wide margin. Mahindra's brochure puts Level 2 ADAS on the AX5L and AX7L, with autonomous emergency braking, forward collision warning, lane departure warning, lane keep assist, traffic sign recognition and high beam assist.

The catch is in the brochure's footnote: "Smart Pilot Assist and Adaptive Cruise Control is only available on Luxury pack (L) Petrol Automatic variants." So the AX5 L TGDi manual at Rs 12,02,500 has the ADAS suite without adaptive cruise, and the AX7 L diesel at Rs 14,07,500 goes without it too. The two that qualify are the AX5 L TGDi automatic at Rs 13,27,500 and the AX7 L TGDi automatic at Rs 15,03,500.

2. Renault Duster: from Rs 16,99,000

Renault's brochure introduces "17 advanced driving assistance systems" at the iconic trim, and lists adaptive cruise control with stop and go among them, along with lane keep assist, lane departure warning, active emergency braking for vehicles, pedestrians and cyclists, and traffic sign recognition. Renault's site prices the iconic from Rs 16,99,000 with the TCe 160 engine and a manual gearbox, and the iconic launch edition from Rs 17,19,000.

Two things we could not settle from Renault's documents. The brochure does not say whether stop and go works with the manual or only the 6-speed DCT, and Renault's page shows only the starting price of each trim, so the DCT figure is not here. Ask the dealer both questions. The techno+ below it, from Rs 15,29,000, adds blind spot warning but is not where Renault lists the 17-system suite.

3. Maruti Victoris: Rs 17,33,900

Maruti's brochure is the clearest of the lot on fitment. Every Level 2 ADAS row in its feature grid, from adaptive cruise control to blind spot monitor, is marked "6AT" in the ZXI+ and ZXI+ (O) column and blank everywhere else. That gives four variants, all under Rs 20 lakh:

Victoris variantPrice (ex-showroom)
ZXI+ AT 2W (ADAS)Rs 17,33,900
ZXI+ (O) AT 2W (ADAS)Rs 17,43,000
ZXI+ AT 4W (AllGrip)Rs 18,68,900
ZXI+ (O) AT 4W (AllGrip)Rs 19,26,900

The system is adaptive cruise control with All Speed Following and Stop Keeping, plus Curve Speed Reduction. The two AllGrip versions make the Victoris the only SUV on this list that pairs adaptive cruise with all-wheel drive below Rs 20 lakh.

The limits are real. The strong hybrid has no ADAS at any price, including the range-topping ZXI+ (O) Strong Hybrid at Rs 19,98,900, which gets ordinary cruise control. The same goes for the ZXI+ manual at Rs 15,38,900 and every S-CNG variant. If you want Maruti's 28.65 km/l hybrid, you give up adaptive cruise, and if you want adaptive cruise you get the 1.5 petrol automatic at a claimed 21.06 km/l, or 19.07 km/l with AllGrip.

4. Hyundai Creta: Rs 18,68,800

Hyundai SmartSense is now confined to the King, King Knight and Lounge Edition columns of the Creta brochure. Smart Cruise Control with Stop and Go carries an asterisk there: "IVT/AT/DCT only".

So the King 1.5 petrol manual at Rs 17,27,800 has lane keeping, blind-spot collision avoidance and forward collision avoidance but ordinary cruise control. Adaptive cruise starts with the King IVT at Rs 18,68,800. The King Knight IVT is Rs 18,83,300, the diesel King automatic Rs 19,77,800 and the turbo petrol King DCT Rs 19,91,300. The King Knight diesel automatic, at Rs 20,11,300, falls just outside the budget.

5. Mahindra Thar Roxx: Rs 19,41,000

The Roxx grid needs careful reading. The AX3L diesel manual, at Rs 17,40,000, has autonomous emergency braking, lane keep assist and traffic sign recognition, but the adaptive cruise row is crossed out for it. Adaptive cruise control with Stop and Go is ticked for the AX5L, which is sold only as a diesel automatic, and marked "AT variants" for the AX7L.

That leaves two variants under the ceiling: the AX5L diesel automatic 2WD at Rs 19,41,000 and the AX7L petrol automatic 2WD at Rs 19,99,500, which clears the limit by Rs 500. The 4x4 versions with adaptive cruise start at Rs 21,67,000.

6. MG Hector: Rs 19,64,800

MG's brochure lists the Autonomous Level 2 pack, with adaptive cruise control, bend cruise assistance, traffic jam assist and lane keep assist, in the Savvy Pro column alone. MG prices the Savvy Pro CVT at Rs 19,64,800 and the 7-seater Savvy Pro at Rs 20,14,800, so only the 5-seater fits. At more than 4.6 metres it is the longest car in the table. The brochure shows the pack on the top trim only, so there is no cheaper Hector with adaptive cruise.

Offered, but not priced here

Honda Elevate. Honda's brochure fits Honda Sensing, including adaptive cruise control and the lane keeping assist system, to the ZX, ZX+ and ZX+ Black in both manual and CVT form. Low Speed Follow is CVT only. That makes the Elevate one of the few SUVs with adaptive cruise on a manual gearbox. Honda quotes prices by city through a lookup tool and we did not get a variant figure from it today; the range starts at Rs 11,80,000 on Honda's site. It very likely belongs in the table, but we have not proven it.

Kia Seltos. Kia's 2026 brochure puts an ADAS pack with 21 functions on the HTX (A) and GTX (A), and marks Smart Cruise Control with Stop and Go as "Automatic only". Kia's site gives a starting price of Rs 11,24,900 for the HTE and Rs 21,56,900 for the X-Line (O), with no variant list in between that we could read, so we cannot say which automatic HTX (A) lands under Rs 20 lakh.

Tata Harrier. Tata lists "ADAS with Adaptive Cruise Control (AT)" from the Adventure X+, and the brochure repeats that adaptive cruise is "in AT only". Tata's price page shows the Adventure X+ from Rs 17,59,990, which is the manual. The automatic's price was not on the list we could read, so it may well sit under Rs 20 lakh, but we have not seen the figure.

Tata Sierra. Level 2 ADAS with 13 functions starts at the Accomplished, from Rs 17,99,000 for the petrol manual. Tata's page does not say whether the manual gets adaptive cruise or only the automatics do, which is the question that decides its place in the table.

Tata Curvv. ADAS is on the top Accomplished X+ only, which is sold with the DCA dual-clutch gearbox, and the brochure says adaptive cruise control "is available in DCA". Tata's default price list stops at the Accomplished X (Rs 13,99,990), one step below, so the qualifying variant's price is not confirmed here.

The Skoda Kushaq is missing from this table because Skoda's brochure sits behind a request form. Its model page mentions no adaptive cruise control, which is not the same as proof.

How this list was built

We started from each manufacturer's brochure and read the variant grid for the adaptive cruise row specifically, then took the price of that exact variant from the manufacturer's price page. A car made the main table only if both halves were confirmed on 13 October 2026.

What we did not verify: Honda and Kia variant prices, the price of the Tata Harrier, Sierra and Curvv variants that actually carry adaptive cruise, the Duster's DCT price and whether its manual gets stop and go, and the Skoda Kushaq's equipment. Prices are ex-showroom as each maker lists them, and Mahindra, Hyundai and Maruti all note that the price on the day of invoice applies. Dual-tone paint adds a few thousand rupees on most of these cars and can tip a borderline variant, such as the Thar Roxx AX7L petrol automatic, over Rs 20 lakh.

For the wider driver-assistance picture, see our pieces on SUVs with ADAS under Rs 20 lakh and cars with cruise control under Rs 20 lakh, which covers ordinary cruise control and hatchbacks as well.

Frequently asked questions

Which is the cheapest SUV with adaptive cruise control?

Of those we could verify, the Mahindra XUV 3XO AX5 L TGDi automatic at Rs 13,27,500. The manual AX5 L is cheaper at Rs 12,02,500 but Mahindra's brochure limits adaptive cruise to the petrol automatics.

Which Maruti SUV has adaptive cruise control?

Among Maruti's petrol and hybrid SUVs, only the Victoris, and only as a ZXI+ or ZXI+ (O) 6-speed automatic, from Rs 17,33,900. The strong hybrid, manual and S-CNG versions do not get it. The Grand Vitara and Brezza have ordinary cruise control.

Can I get adaptive cruise control with a manual gearbox under Rs 20 lakh?

Honda's brochure lists it on the Elevate ZX, ZX+ and ZX+ Black manuals, without the Low Speed Follow function. On the XUV 3XO, Victoris, Creta and Thar Roxx it is automatic only. Renault does not say either way for the Duster iconic manual.

Does the Victoris strong hybrid have adaptive cruise control?

No. Maruti's feature grid marks the whole ADAS block "6AT", and the strong hybrid uses an e-CVT. The top ZXI+ (O) Strong Hybrid at Rs 19,98,900 has standard cruise control.

Is adaptive cruise control the same as Level 2 ADAS?

No, and three cars here show why. The XUV 3XO AX5 L manual, the Creta King manual and the Thar Roxx AX3L all carry an ADAS suite with emergency braking and lane keeping, and none of the three has adaptive cruise.

Why are the Tata Harrier, Sierra and Curvv not ranked?

All three offer adaptive cruise control, but Tata's price page showed us only the starting price of each trim. On the Harrier and Curvv the feature needs an automatic, whose price we could not read, and for the Sierra Tata does not state the gearbox condition. We left them out of the ranking instead of guessing.
