Mid-Size SUVs With Dolby Atmos and a Gesture Tailgate: Every Variant With Both
Three mid-size SUVs pair Dolby Atmos with a gesture-controlled powered tailgate on one trim. The Maruti Victoris ZXi+ is the cheapest at Rs 15,38,900, and eight ZXi+ variants have both, up to Rs 19,98,900. The Tata Sierra Accomplished+ (diesel or turbo petrol only, price not shown by Tata) and Tata Harrier Fearless Ultra at Rs 22,94,990 are the others. The Victoris ZXi gets the tailgate from Rs 13,61,900 but not Dolby Atmos.
Three mid-size SUVs offer both Dolby Atmos and a gesture-controlled powered tailgate on the same trim. The cheapest is the Maruti Victoris ZXi+, at Rs 15,38,900 ex-showroom for the petrol manual. The other two are the Tata Sierra Accomplished+, a near-top trim sold only with the diesel or the turbo petrol, and the Tata Harrier Fearless Ultra at Rs 22,94,990. On the Victoris the two features arrive on different trims: the tailgate from the ZXi at Rs 13,61,900, and Dolby Atmos only from the ZXi+. So the pair costs Rs 1,77,000 more than the tailgate alone. No Hyundai, Kia, Honda, Toyota, Skoda or Volkswagen mid-size SUV offers either feature, according to their brochures.
We have already covered each feature on its own: every SUV with Dolby Atmos and every mid-size SUV with a gesture tailgate. This page answers the narrower question: which exact variants have both, and what they cost.
Mid-size SUVs with both features, compared
| SUV | Dolby Atmos from | Gesture tailgate from | Cheapest variant with both | Price of that variant |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Maruti Victoris | ZXi+ | ZXi | ZXi+ 1.5 petrol 5MT | Rs 15,38,900 |
| Tata Sierra | Accomplished | Accomplished+ | Accomplished+ (diesel MT, diesel AT or turbo petrol AT) | Not shown by Tata; range tops out at Rs 21.29 lakh |
| Tata Harrier | Fearless Ultra | Fearless X+ | Fearless Ultra | Rs 22,94,990 |
Prices are ex-showroom, checked October 2026 on Maruti's price feed and Arena price page and on Tata's price pages. Victoris prices are single tone. Dual-tone paint adds Rs 15,400 on the ZXi and above, except on the ZXi+ (O) strong hybrid, so the ZXi+ manual is Rs 15,54,300 in dual tone. Feature fitment comes from each maker's brochure.
Every Victoris variant with both features
Maruti's feature grid ticks "Dolby Atmos Spatial Sound Experience" for the ZXi+ and ZXi+ (O) only, and "Smart Powered Tailgate with Gesture Control" for the ZXi, ZXi (O), ZXi+ and ZXi+ (O). Neither tick depends on the engine or gearbox. That gives eight variants with both:
| Victoris variant | Powertrain | Price (single tone) |
|---|---|---|
| ZXi+ | 1.5 petrol, 5-speed manual | Rs 15,38,900 |
| ZXi+ (O) | 1.5 petrol, 5-speed manual | Rs 15,48,000 |
| ZXi+ AT (ADAS) | 1.5 petrol, 6-speed automatic | Rs 17,33,900 |
| ZXi+ (O) AT (ADAS) | 1.5 petrol, 6-speed automatic | Rs 17,43,000 |
| ZXi+ AllGrip | 1.5 petrol, 6-speed automatic, all-wheel drive | Rs 18,68,900 |
| ZXi+ (O) AllGrip | 1.5 petrol, 6-speed automatic, all-wheel drive | Rs 19,26,900 |
| ZXi+ strong hybrid | 1.5 strong hybrid, e-CVT | Rs 19,51,900 |
| ZXi+ (O) strong hybrid | 1.5 strong hybrid, e-CVT | Rs 19,98,900 |
The six ZXi and ZXi (O) variants have the tailgate but not Dolby Atmos. That includes the ZXi CNG at Rs 14,66,900. The S-CNG stops at the ZXi, so no CNG Victoris has both features. The LXi and VXi have neither.
What you get on each car
Maruti Victoris ZXi+
The Victoris runs Dolby Atmos through an 8-speaker Infinity by Harman system with a centre speaker and a subwoofer, driven by a built-in 8-channel amplifier with 5.1 surround. The ZXi+ has four door speakers to the ZXi's two. Maruti describes the tailgate in one line: "Hands full? Just a swipe with your foot makes access to the boot effortless." The brochure says nothing more about how the sensor behaves, so try it at the showroom with the key in your pocket.
The ZXi+ comes with a lot more than these two features: the 25.65 cm SmartPlay Pro X screen, a head-up display, a 360-degree camera, ventilated front seats, an 8-way powered driver's seat, leatherette seats and 64-colour ambient lighting. The panoramic sunroof needs the (O). Level 2 ADAS is fitted to the 6-speed automatic only, so the cheapest Victoris with Dolby, the gesture tailgate and ADAS is the ZXi+ AT at Rs 17,33,900. The strong hybrid has Dolby and the tailgate but no ADAS.
Fuel figures from the brochure: 21.18 km/l for the petrol manual, 21.06 km/l for the automatic, 19.07 km/l for AllGrip, and 28.65 km/l for the strong hybrid. Bharat NCAP rated it 5 stars, with 31.66 out of 32 for adults and 43 out of 49 for children. The rating applies to the petrol and strong-hybrid variants, which covers every car on this page. Global NCAP also published a 5-star result in 2025.
The weak spot is power. The 1.5-litre K15C makes 103.06 PS and 139 Nm, the least of the three cars here. If you mostly want the audio and the convenience, that won't matter much. On a loaded highway run it will.
Tata Sierra Accomplished+
Tata gives the Sierra Dolby Atmos from the Accomplished, through 12 JBL Black speakers with a centre speaker, a subwoofer and a SonicShaft soundbar. That is four more speakers than the Victoris. The "Powered Tailgate with Gesture / Kick Operation" waits for the Accomplished+, which also brings the triple-screen dashboard, Level 2+ ADAS with 22 functions and a 6-way powered driver's seat with memory.
The catch is the powertrain. Tata's powertrain chart offers the Accomplished+ with the 1.5 diesel (118 PS, manual or automatic) or the 160 PS 1.5 turbo petrol automatic, not the 106 PS naturally aspirated petrol. Tata's price page shows the Accomplished petrol manual at Rs 17,99,000. For the Accomplished+ it gives no figure beyond its FAQ line that the range tops out at Rs 21.29 lakh for the Accomplished+ diesel automatic. Ask a dealer for the exact price. Bharat NCAP rated the Sierra 5 stars, with 31.14 out of 32 and 44.73 out of 49. Tata publishes no certified mileage for it.
Tata Harrier Fearless Ultra
On the Harrier the tailgate comes first. Tata's brochure lists the "Gesture Controlled Powered Tailgate" on the Fearless X+ at Rs 22,34,990, and Dolby Atmos is one of the additions on the Fearless Ultra above it, at Rs 22,94,990. The Ultra uses 10 JBL speakers with a centre speaker and subwoofer, plus a 36.9 cm Samsung Neo QLED screen. The Fearless X+ has the same 10-speaker hardware without the Dolby licence, which is worth remembering when a salesperson counts the speakers for you.
The Harrier is the biggest car here and much the most expensive, Rs 7,56,090 more than the Victoris ZXi+. Bharat NCAP rated the Harrier and Safari together at 5 stars, with 30.08 out of 32 and 44.54 out of 49, in 2023.
Which one to pick
For most buyers the answer is the Victoris ZXi+. It is the only one of the three under Rs 20 lakh with a published price for the pair, it can be had with a manual, and the strong hybrid keeps both features.
If the sound system is the reason you're buying, the Sierra's 12 speakers give the Dolby decoder more to work with. Get a quote on the Accomplished+ first, because it is only sold with the diesel or the turbo petrol.
If you were going to buy a Harrier anyway, the Fearless Ultra is the trim that has both. Just know that the tailgate is already on the X+, Rs 60,000 cheaper.
A ZXi Victoris at Rs 13,61,900 is worth a look if the tailgate matters and the audio format doesn't. Our ranking of SUVs with a gesture-controlled powered tailgate covers that trade-off across the wider market. For the full segment picture, see the best mid-size SUVs in India.
How this list was built
We checked the feature grid of each mid-size SUV brochure we could read for both a Dolby Atmos tick and a gesture or kick-operated powered tailgate on the same trim, then priced that trim from the maker's own price page or feed, in October 2026.
What we checked and excluded:
- The Tata Curvv has a gesture tailgate on the Accomplished X+, but Dolby Atmos is not in its brochure.
- The Hyundai Creta has only an electric tailgate release. Its brochure lists no Dolby Atmos.
- The Kia Seltos, Honda Elevate, Volkswagen Taigun, Toyota Hyryder and Maruti Grand Vitara brochures list neither feature.
- The Renault Duster has a powered tailgate, but Renault does not describe a foot gesture.
Seven-seat SUVs such as the Tata Safari and Mahindra XUV 7XO are outside the mid-size scope here.
Not verified: the Sierra Accomplished+ price, and how either maker's foot sensor behaves in use. Nothing here comes from a listening test.
