SUVs With ADAS Under Rs 30 Lakh in India: The Gearbox and Fuel Conditions (2026)
Sorted by powertrain rather than price, the market under Rs 30 lakh divides cleanly. Petrol and diesel SUVs almost always tie adaptive cruise to an automatic, and no SUV at any price pairs Level 2 assistance with factory CNG or with Maruti's strong hybrid. The Maruti Victoris ZXI+ 6AT from Rs 17,33,900 has the most thoroughly specified forward-facing suite here and the best crash score at 31.66 of 32, but excludes the manual, the S-CNG and the 28.65 km/l hybrid. Electric SUVs remove the gearbox condition but not the trim condition: the Mahindra XEV 9e Pack Two at Rs 24,90,000 has no blind spot detection at all, which needs Pack Three.
At Rs 30 lakh, Level 2 driver assistance is still not something you simply buy. On almost every petrol and diesel SUV in India it comes with a condition attached to the gearbox, the fuel, or both. The Maruti Victoris fits it only to the 6-speed automatic, which rules out its manual, its S-CNG and its strong hybrid. The Mahindra XUV 3XO, Thar Roxx, Scorpio N and XUV 7XO all restrict adaptive cruise to automatics. Tata puts adaptive cruise in AT only on the Harrier and Safari, and in DCA only on the Curvv. Hyundai is the one maker that lets a manual keep most of the suite, on the Creta King at Rs 17,27,800, while reserving smart cruise control for the IVT, AT and DCT.
The exception is electric. On the Mahindra BE 6 Four at Rs 26,95,000, the Mahindra XEV 9e Pack Three Select at Rs 27,90,000, the Tata Harrier.ev Empowered 75 at Rs 27,79,000 and the Maruti e Vitara Alpha at Rs 19,99,000, there is one gearbox and one fuel, so every function the variant carries works whichever way you drive it. If "ADAS without small print" is the brief, a Rs 30 lakh budget points at an electric SUV.
This page sorts the market by that condition rather than by price. For the price-first view, see SUVs with ADAS under Rs 20 lakh, and for the feature split between lane keeping and blind spot hardware, SUVs with lane keep assist and blind spot monitoring.

Gearbox and fuel conditions are quoted from each manufacturer's current brochure. Prices are ex-showroom from each maker's own price page or brochure price list, read in October 2026. Maruti Victoris prices are single-tone; dual-tone adds Rs 15,400 on the ZXI and above. The MG Hector figure is from the price list in MG's brochure, dated 1 July 2026, and MG's website showed Rs 19,64,800 for the same variant on 13 October 2026.
The petrol and diesel SUVs, and their small print
Maruti Victoris: Rs 17,33,900, and three powertrains locked out
Maruti's feature grid is the most explicit of the lot. Every Level 2 row, from adaptive cruise control with all speed following and stop keeping through lane keep assist, lane departure prevention, forward collision warning, advanced emergency braking, high beam assist, rear cross traffic alert and blind spot monitor with lane change alert, is marked "6AT" in the ZXI+ and ZXI+ (O) column and left blank in every other column.
Four variants qualify, and all four fit under Rs 20 lakh: the ZXI+ AT 2W at Rs 17,33,900, the ZXI+ (O) AT 2W at Rs 17,43,000, the ZXI+ AT 4W with AllGrip at Rs 18,68,900 and the ZXI+ (O) AT 4W at Rs 19,26,900.
The three powertrains shut out are the ones many Victoris buyers actually want. The ZXI+ manual at Rs 15,38,900 goes without. Every S-CNG variant goes without, including the ZXI S-CNG at Rs 14,66,900 that Maruti rates at 27.02 km/kg. And the strong hybrid goes without at any price, up to the Rs 19,98,900 ZXI+ (O) Strong Hybrid, which Maruti claims at 28.65 km/l and which gets ordinary cruise control.
The Victoris does hold the best crash score in this group, at 31.66 out of 32 for adults and 43 out of 49 for children from Bharat NCAP. The ratings applicability list covers the petrol manual, the petrol 6AT including both AllGrip variants, and the strong hybrid eCVT. It does not list the S-CNG.
Hyundai Creta: the only manual that keeps the suite
Hyundai confines SmartSense to the King, King Knight and Lounge Edition columns, then applies one asterisk to one row. Smart cruise control with stop and go is marked IVT, AT or DCT only. Everything else, lane keeping assist, lane following assist, blind spot collision warning and collision avoidance assist, forward collision avoidance for cars, pedestrians, cyclists, junction turning and direct oncoming traffic, is standard across those columns regardless of gearbox.
That makes the King 1.5 petrol manual at Rs 17,27,800 the cheapest ADAS variant here that is not an automatic. Adaptive cruise starts at the King IVT, Rs 18,68,800. The King diesel automatic is Rs 19,77,800 and the King Knight diesel automatic Rs 20,11,300, the top of the range.
Bharat NCAP has published no Creta result, and Hyundai publishes no certified mileage for it.
The Mahindra group: automatic or nothing
Mahindra is consistent across four models. The XUV 3XO brochure footnote reads that Smart Pilot Assist and adaptive cruise control are available only on Luxury pack petrol automatic variants, so the AX5 L manual at Rs 12,02,500 carries emergency braking, lane keep assist, traffic sign recognition and high beam assist without adaptive cruise, and the AX5 L automatic at Rs 13,27,500 completes the set. The Thar Roxx marks adaptive cruise with stop and go for AT variants, the Scorpio N for AT variants on the Z8L, and the XUV 7XO for automatics on the AX7 Tech.
Priced, that ladder runs Rs 13,27,500 for the XUV 3XO, Rs 19,41,000 for the Thar Roxx AX5L diesel automatic, Rs 22,75,999 for the XUV 7XO AX7 Tech petrol automatic and Rs 22,87,186 for the Scorpio N Z8L petrol automatic. Four-wheel drive with adaptive cruise on a Thar Roxx starts at Rs 21,67,000.
Tata: adaptive cruise in AT, and ADAS sold in three tiers
Tata's 2026 Harrier and Safari brochures carry the same footnote twice: adaptive cruise control in AT only. They also split assistance into three steps. The Adventure X+ gets ADAS with adaptive cruise. The Fearless X+ on the Harrier and the Accomplished X+ on the Safari add Level 2 with lane keep assist. The Fearless Ultra and Accomplished Ultra add Level 2+ with intelligent speed assist. On the Curvv the note is narrower still: adaptive cruise control is available in DCA, the dual-clutch automatic, on the Accomplished X+.
Tata's price page showed the Harrier Adventure X+ from Rs 17,59,990, which is the manual figure, and the Sierra Accomplished from Rs 17,99,000. The automatics that carry adaptive cruise cost more than those numbers and we could not read them, so they are not quoted here as prices.
Electric: one gearbox, no conditions
Maruti e Vitara, Rs 19,99,000
The cheapest electric SUV here with the full suite. The Alpha with the 61 kWh battery lists lane keep assist, lane departure prevention, lane departure warning, adaptive cruise control with all speed following and stop keeping, blind spot monitor with lane change alert and rear cross traffic alert. Seven airbags are standard on every variant, including the Rs 16,19,000 Delta. Bharat NCAP scored the Alpha 61 kWh at 31.49 out of 32 for adults and 43 out of 49 for children, and Maruti certifies 543 km of range.
Mahindra BE 6 and XEV 9e, Rs 23,95,000 and Rs 24,90,000
Mahindra's electric pair are the clearest illustration that "Level 2" is a range, not a line. The BE 6 Three+ at Rs 23,95,000 and the XEV 9e Pack Two at Rs 24,90,000 both run one radar and one vision camera, which is enough for adaptive cruise, lane keeping, lane centering, emergency braking, traffic sign recognition and high beam assist, and not enough for anything looking sideways.
Blind spot detection, rear cross traffic alert and highway assist need the extra corner radars, which arrive on the BE 6 Four at Rs 26,95,000 with five radars and on the XEV 9e Pack Three. The Pack Three Select at Rs 27,90,000 is the version of that step that fits under Rs 30 lakh. The XEV 9e scored a full 32 out of 32 for adults at Bharat NCAP, and the BE 6 scored 31.97.
Tata Harrier.ev, Rs 27,79,000
The Empowered 75 is the one Harrier.ev under Rs 30 lakh with the Level 2 suite and its 22 functions, and the all-wheel-drive Empowered AWD 75 at Rs 29,29,000 just fits as well. The cheaper Fearless+ 75 at Rs 25,29,000 has seven airbags and no ADAS, which is the same trade the petrol Harrier asks you to make one trim lower. Bharat NCAP scored it 32 out of 32 for adults and 45 out of 49 for children.
How this list was built
Each gearbox and fuel condition is quoted from the manufacturer's own brochure, usually from a footnote rather than the feature grid itself, because that is where makers put them. Prices are for the exact variant named, from the maker's price page or the price list printed in the brochure, read in October 2026.
What we could not verify. Kia's Seltos brochure puts a 21-function Level 2 pack on the HTX (A) and GTX (A) and marks smart cruise control automatic only, but Kia's site publishes only the HTE at Rs 11,24,900 and the X-Line (O) at Rs 21,56,900, so no qualifying variant can be priced. Honda fits Honda Sensing to the Elevate ZX, ZX+ and ZX+ Black in both manual and CVT, with low speed follow on the CVT alone, and quotes prices by city above a Rs 11,80,000 start. Hyundai's Alcazar brochure marks the SmartSense rows from the Platinum column while Hyundai's Alcazar page credits the Signature variants, and we could not settle which is current. The Hyundai Tucson has both a Level 2 suite and all-wheel drive, but Hyundai does not publish its prices on its India price pages, so we could not place it against this ceiling. The Toyota Innova Hycross and MG Gloster were left out as a different body style and a different price class.
Not offered at all: the Maruti Grand Vitara, Maruti Brezza, Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder and Volkswagen Taigun list no adaptive cruise or lane keeping in their brochures. The Skoda Kushaq brochure sits behind a request form, so its absence here is unproven rather than confirmed.
Frequently asked questions
Which SUV under Rs 30 lakh gives Level 2 ADAS with a manual gearbox?
The Hyundai Creta King 1.5 petrol manual at Rs 17,27,800 keeps lane keeping assist, lane following assist, blind spot collision avoidance and forward collision avoidance, losing only smart cruise control. Honda's Elevate ZX manual keeps adaptive cruise control but without low speed follow. The Mahindra XUV 3XO AX5 L manual and Thar Roxx AX3L have the suite minus adaptive cruise.
Can you get ADAS on a CNG or hybrid SUV?
No, not on anything we could source. The Maruti Victoris S-CNG and strong hybrid both go without, as does the Grand Vitara's hybrid, and the Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder lists no ADAS on any powertrain. If you want both a factory CNG tank and Level 2 assistance in one car, the market does not currently sell it.
Which is the cheapest SUV under Rs 30 lakh with ADAS and all-wheel drive?
The Maruti Victoris ZXI+ AT 4W with AllGrip Select at Rs 18,68,900. The Mahindra Thar Roxx with adaptive cruise and 4x4 starts at Rs 21,67,000, and the Tata Harrier.ev Empowered AWD 75 is Rs 29,29,000.
Is an electric SUV's ADAS better?
Not necessarily better, but less conditional, because there is one gearbox and one fuel. It is still tied to trim. The Mahindra XEV 9e Pack Two at Rs 24,90,000 has no blind spot detection at all, because Mahindra fits the corner radars only from Pack Three.
Does the Maruti Victoris strong hybrid have adaptive cruise control?
No. Maruti's grid marks the whole ADAS block 6AT, and the strong hybrid uses an e-CVT. The range-topping ZXI+ (O) Strong Hybrid at Rs 19,98,900 has ordinary cruise control.
What does "Level 2 plus" mean on the Tata and Kia models?
It is each maker's label for a longer function list, not a different category of automation. Tata adds intelligent speed assist at the Fearless Ultra and Accomplished Ultra. Kia moves from 21 functions on the HTX (A) to 28 on the GTX (O), adding forward collision avoidance for oncoming traffic and navigation-linked cruise control. The driver remains responsible in both cases.
