Best Hatchbacks With Touchscreen Infotainment Under Rs 8 Lakh (2026)
Most hatchbacks keep the touchscreen off the base variant. Cheapest variants with one: Kwid Evolution Rs 4,52,900, Alto K10 VXi+ (O) Rs 4,99,900, Tiago Pure+ Rs 6,09,990, Celerio ZXi+ Rs 6,30,400, WagonR ZXi+ Rs 6,52,400, Grand i10 Nios Corporate Rs 6,60,400, Swift VXi Rs 6,67,900, Baleno Delta Rs 6,99,900, Altroz Pure Rs 7,14,990, Glanza S Rs 7,63,000, i20 Sportz Rs 7,85,200. The Baleno Zeta's 22.86 cm screen is Rs 100 under the ceiling.
The best hatchback with touchscreen infotainment under Rs 8 lakh depends on what you want from the screen. The largest is the 26.03 cm unit in the Tata Tiago Creative at Rs 7,05,990. The cheapest is the 20.32 cm screen that Renault fits to every Kwid, from Rs 4,52,900. Among Maruti's hatchbacks, the Alto K10 VXi+ (O) is the cheapest with a touchscreen at Rs 4,99,900, the Swift VXi at Rs 6,67,900 is the cheapest with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and the Baleno Zeta has Maruti's biggest screen, 22.86 cm, at Rs 7,99,900. All prices are ex-showroom Delhi, checked on 13 October 2026.
On most of these cars the base variant has no touchscreen at all, so the cheapest variant that gets one matters more than the model's starting price. This list gives that variant for eleven hatchbacks.

Screen sizes and connectivity are from each manufacturer's brochure. Prices are from each manufacturer's own price list.
How this list was built
I took the infotainment rows from each car's current brochure, found the lowest variant with a tick against a touchscreen, and then looked up that variant's price on the manufacturer's price list. A car is in the table only if that price is below Rs 8,00,000.
What I could not verify:
- Citroen C3. Its brochure shows a 26 cm Citroen Connect touchscreen with wireless phone mirroring on the Feel (O) and Shine, and no touchscreen on the Feel. Citroen India publishes no variant prices online, so the C3 is left out of the table.
- Glanza S screen size. Toyota's brochure ticks a "Smart Playcast Audio" touchscreen for the S grade without printing a size. It prints 17.78 cm for the G and 22.86 cm for the V, and both of those cost more than Rs 8 lakh.
- Wired or wireless. Where a brochure says only "Android Auto and Apple CarPlay", the table says "Yes". Where it prints "wireless", the table says so. I have not assumed either way.
- WagonR ZXi+ price. Maruti's price page shows one starting price for the ZXi+ across single-tone and dual-tone paint. Rs 6,52,400 is that figure.
Sound quality, touch response and screen glare are not in any brochure. Try the unit with your own phone before you buy.
The three picks
Biggest screen: Tata Tiago Creative, Rs 7,05,990. A 26.03 cm HD touchscreen with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, plus a 360 degree camera. Nothing else under Rs 8 lakh with a published price is larger.
Cheapest: Renault Kwid Evolution, Rs 4,52,900. The only car here where the touchscreen is standard on the base variant. The Evolution has two airbags and no rear camera, which the Climber fixes from Rs 5,14,900.
Best Maruti: Baleno Zeta at Rs 7,99,900 if you can stretch, Swift VXi at Rs 6,67,900 if you cannot. The Zeta's 22.86 cm SmartPlay Pro+ is the second-largest screen in this list and comes with a cooled wireless charger and a rear camera. It also sits exactly Rs 100 under the ceiling, so any price revision will push it over. The Swift VXi gets you wireless phone mirroring for Rs 1,32,000 less.
Maruti Alto K10
Touchscreen from: VXi+ (O) MT at Rs 4,99,900, or Rs 5,44,900 with the AGS.
The 17.78 cm SmartPlay Studio is on the top trim only. It has Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, four speakers and steering-mounted audio and voice controls. The VXi (O) below it has a SmartPlay Dock with two speakers and Bluetooth, which holds your phone and has no screen of its own.
Range: Rs 3,69,900 to Rs 5,44,900. Mileage: 24.39 km/l manual, 24.90 km/l AGS. Six airbags and ESP on every variant.
Weakness: there is no touchscreen on any CNG Alto K10, because the S-CNG stops at the VXi (O).
Tata Tiago
Touchscreen from: Pure+ MT at Rs 6,09,990.
The Pure+ has a 20.32 cm touchscreen with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, four speakers, an HD reverse camera and steering-mounted controls. The Creative at Rs 7,05,990 moves to the 26.03 cm screen and adds the 360 degree camera. The Smart and Pure have no touchscreen. The Pure gets Bluetooth through its instrument cluster.
Engine: 1.2 litre petrol, 86 PS and 113 Nm. Six airbags on every variant. Tata does not publish certified mileage in the brochure.
Weakness: Electronic Stability Program also starts at the Pure+, so do not buy below it.
Maruti Celerio and Maruti WagonR
Both keep the touchscreen for the top trim.
- Celerio ZXi+: Rs 6,30,400 manual, Rs 6,75,400 AGS. 17.78 cm SmartPlay Studio with smartphone navigation, voice command, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, four speakers and push-button start. The ZXi has a SmartPlay Dock and four speakers, no screen.
- WagonR ZXi+: Rs 6,52,400 manual, Rs 6,97,400 AGS, with the 1.2 litre engine. 17.78 cm SmartPlay Studio with smartphone navigation, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay and four speakers. The VXi and ZXi have a SmartPlay Dock with two speakers.
Neither car offers a touchscreen with CNG. The Celerio's S-CNG is a VXi and the WagonR's are LXi and VXi.
Mileage: Celerio 24.97 to 26.00 km/l. WagonR 1.2 litre 23.56 km/l manual and 24.43 km/l AGS. Six airbags on every variant of both.
Hyundai Grand i10 Nios
Touchscreen from: Corporate MT at Rs 6,60,400.
The Corporate has a 17.14 cm touchscreen display audio, with smartphone navigation through mirroring. The Sportz at Rs 6,92,900 has the 20.25 cm unit with Android Auto, Apple CarPlay and voice recognition. Wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay are listed only for the Asta at Rs 7,57,100, which also has a wireless charger.
Engine: 1.2 litre Kappa petrol, 83 PS and 113.8 Nm. Six airbags on every variant.
Maruti Swift
Touchscreen from: VXi MT at Rs 6,67,900.
Every Swift from the VXi to the ZXi has the 17.78 cm SmartPlay Pro with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay and four speakers. That includes the VXi S-CNG at Rs 7,57,400. Along with the Baleno Delta S-CNG, it is one of only two Maruti hatchbacks that pair a touchscreen with CNG under Rs 8 lakh. The ZXi at Rs 7,61,900 adds two tweeters. The 22.86 cm SmartPlay Pro+ is on the ZXi+ at Rs 8,43,900, over this budget.
Engine: 1.2 litre Z12E petrol, 82.93 PS and 112.4 Nm. Mileage: 25.35 km/l manual, 26.25 km/l AMT, 35.07 km/kg CNG manual. Six airbags on every variant.
Weakness: the base LXi at Rs 5,83,900 has no audio system at all.
Maruti Baleno
Touchscreen from: Delta MT at Rs 6,99,900.
- Delta, Rs 6,99,900: 17.78 cm SmartPlay Pro, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, four speakers.
- Delta AGS, Rs 7,49,900, and Delta S-CNG, Rs 7,92,400: the same unit.
- Zeta MT, Rs 7,99,900: 22.86 cm SmartPlay Pro+, two added tweeters, Arkamys surround sound, onboard voice assistant, rear view camera, wireless charging dock with active cooling.
The base Sigma at Rs 5,98,900 has no touchscreen and no speakers.
Engine: 1.2 litre Z12E petrol, 82.93 PS and 112.4 Nm. Mileage: 23.80 km/l manual, 24.77 km/l AGS, 33.61 km/kg CNG manual. Six airbags on every variant.
Weakness: only the manual Zeta fits under Rs 8 lakh. The Zeta AGS is Rs 8,49,900, so an automatic Baleno in this budget means the smaller screen.
Tata Altroz, Toyota Glanza and Hyundai i20
These three start under Rs 6.75 lakh but put the touchscreen further up the range.
- Altroz Pure, Rs 7,14,990: 20.32 cm touchscreen with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, four speakers and a rear view HD camera. The 26.03 cm screen is on the Creative at Rs 8,09,990.
- Glanza S MT, Rs 7,63,000: Smart Playcast Audio touchscreen with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay and four door speakers. The base E has no audio system.
- i20 Sportz, Rs 7,85,200: 20.32 cm touchscreen with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, rear camera and voice recognition. The Era, Magna Executive and Magna have no touchscreen.
