Best Luxury People-Carriers for Corporate Fleets in India: Safety, Fleet Grades and Warranty (2026)
The Toyota Innova Hycross is the best corporate fleet MPV: its G-FLT grade from Rs 18,70,000 adds a factory 80 km/h speed limiter and tracking readiness, and every Hycross has six airbags and a 5-star Bharat NCAP rating. The Maruti Suzuki Invicto from Rs 25,02,400 is the better executive car, with the same 22.16 km/l hybrid and 5-star rating but no fleet grade. The Innova Crysta from Rs 19,95,000 has only three airbags on its lower grades. The Kia Carnival at Rs 59,64,900 offers a 3-year unlimited-km warranty.
For a company buying people-carriers in numbers, the strongest all-round choice in India is the Toyota Innova Hycross, because it is the only premium MPV sold with a dedicated fleet grade (the G-FLT, from Rs 18,70,000, with a factory 80 km/h speed limiter and tracking-device provision) and with six airbags and a 5-star Bharat NCAP rating across the range. The Maruti Suzuki Invicto, from Rs 25,02,400, is the better executive car for the money: the same 22.16 km/l hybrid, the same 5-star rating and captain seats with side tables, but no fleet grade. The Toyota Innova Crysta diesel, from Rs 19,95,000, is the old pool-car default, but its three lower grades carry three airbags rather than seven. At the top, the Kia Carnival (Rs 59,64,900) and Toyota Vellfire are for senior leadership, not for a pool. Prices are ex-showroom Delhi, checked October 2026.
Most "corporate car" lists judge the top variant, as if a company buys one car for its chairman. Fleets don't work like that. A company usually buys several cars at a lower trim, then runs them hard for years, with drivers it doesn't always pick and passengers it is responsible for. So this list is built on what the whole model range guarantees, not on what the flagship trim offers.

Maruti prices are from Maruti's own ex-showroom price feed for Delhi, in single-tone paint. Toyota prices are from Toyota's Delhi price list, excluding the Platinum White Pearl surcharge. Kia's figure is the ex-showroom price on its Carnival page. Specifications, airbag counts and warranty terms are from each model's current brochure. Bharat NCAP scores are from bncap.in. Toyota's Delhi price feed blocked our requests during this check, so the Vellfire carries no price here.
How we ranked them, and what we did not check
The ranking question is: if a company buys this model at the trim a fleet manager would actually pick, what is it guaranteed to get? We weighted four things, in this order:
- Occupant protection across the range: airbag count on the cheapest grade, and whether Bharat NCAP has rated the car.
- Fleet provisions from the factory: a fleet grade, speed limiting, tracking readiness.
- Running cost evidence: whether the maker publishes a certified economy figure at all.
- Warranty length, and whether it has a kilometre cap.
We did not calculate on-road prices. Registration charges and road tax depend on the state, and on whether a car is registered to a company for private use or under a taxi permit, so a single on-road figure would be wrong for most readers. Your dealer's quote for your registration type is the only reliable number. We also did not check lease rentals, resale values or corporate discounts. NEXA's site does mention corporate offers on its model pages, with values that "vary from city to city", so ask for one in writing.
1. Toyota Innova Hycross: the only one with a fleet grade
Toyota sells the Hycross in a fleet-specific grade. The price list calls it G-FLT (Rs 18,70,000 for the 7-seater, Rs 18,75,000 for the 8-seater), and the brochure's G-SLF column is the only one with a speed limiting function at 80 km/h and "VTD ready", meaning ready for a vehicle tracking device. Those two lines are exactly what a transport policy asks for, and no other car here offers them from the factory.
The G-FLT is plain otherwise: steel wheels, four speakers, a reverse parking sensor but no reversing camera, and a manual blower for the rear air conditioning. It still has six airbags, vehicle stability control, ISOFIX and front and rear disc brakes, because Toyota fits those to every Hycross. The petrol engine makes 126 kW and 204 Nm with a CVT and is certified at 16.13 km/l.
For executive cars, the hybrids sit higher up: VX from Rs 26,76,000, VX(O) from Rs 28,77,000, ZX at Rs 31,20,000 and ZX(O) at Rs 31,84,000. They carry the certified 22.16 km/l. Only the ZX grades get a second-zone automatic rear climate control and powered ottoman seats, and only the ZX(O) gets Toyota Safety Sense (adaptive cruise, lane trace assist, blind spot monitor and a pre-collision system).
Bharat NCAP rated the Hycross 5 stars, 30.47 of 32 for adults and 45 of 49 for children, after testing an 8-seat car, a VX 8-seat hybrid and a ZX 7-seat hybrid. The warranty is 3 years or 1,00,000 km, and Toyota's brochure offers an extension to 5 years or 2,20,000 km, which matters if your cars cover 40,000 km a year.
2. Maruti Suzuki Invicto: the executive car, without the fleet extras
The Invicto is the Hycross hybrid in Maruti's clothing, and Bharat NCAP scored it almost identically: 5 stars, 30.43 of 32 for adults and 45 of 49 for children. It is the cheaper way to buy the hybrid. The Zeta Plus 7-seater costs Rs 25,02,400 against Rs 26,76,000 for the Hycross VX 7-seater, and both are certified at 22.16 km/l.
For carrying executives, the Zeta Plus 7-seater does a lot right. Maruti's feature list gives it second-row captain seats with walk-in slide and recline, individual armrests and side tables, a retractable second-row sunshade, roof-mounted second- and third-row vents with an automatic blower, Type-C charging in the second row, cruise control and six airbags. The Alpha Plus (Rs 28,70,500) adds a second-zone automatic rear climate control, an acoustic and IR-cut windscreen, a PM2.5 filter, ventilated front seats and a 360-degree camera.
The weak points for a fleet are specific. There is no fleet grade, no factory speed limiter and no tracking provision. The Zeta Plus has no front or rear parking sensors, no tyre pressure monitoring and no rear window defogger. No Invicto offers adaptive cruise or lane assistance. And the brochure doesn't print warranty terms, so get those from the dealer before you sign. See the Invicto model page for the full specification.
3. Toyota Innova Crysta: the diesel pool car, with a safety catch
The Crysta is the only diesel and the only manual here: a 2.4-litre making 110 kW (150 PS) and 343 Nm with a 5-speed gearbox, at Rs 19,95,000 to Rs 26,96,000. Toyota lists a GX FLT at the same price as the GX.
The catch is airbags. Toyota's brochure lists driver, front passenger and driver knee airbags, three in all, on the GX, GX FLT and GX Plus, and seven only on the VX and ZX. A fleet that buys the cheaper grades to save money is buying cars with no side or curtain airbags for passengers. Bharat NCAP has not rated the Crysta, and Toyota prints no certified fuel economy for it, so a running-cost comparison against the Hycross hybrid isn't possible from first-party figures.
If your policy demands diesel, buy the VX (Rs 25,24,000 for the 7-seater) or the ZX (Rs 26,96,000, 7-seater only) for the seven airbags. The VX and ZX also add seat-back tables, cruise control and automatic climate control.
4. Kia Carnival: for leadership, with the best warranty terms
The Carnival is sold as the Limousine Plus at Rs 59,64,900, a 7-seater with a 2+2+3 layout. Kia's brochure lists second-row powered relaxation seats with ventilation, heating and leg support, independently controlled three-zone climate control, electrically sliding doors, second-row sunshade curtains, two USB ports in each row, eight airbags and Level 2 ADAS. The engine is a 2.2-litre diesel making 142 kW with an 8-speed automatic.
For a company, the useful detail is the warranty: 3 years with no kilometre cap, plus an optional fifth year. A car that runs long airport and intercity routes can exceed 1,00,000 km in three years, and that is where a kilometre-capped warranty runs out. Kia publishes no certified economy figure in the brochure, and Bharat NCAP has not rated the car.
5. Toyota Vellfire: the chairman's car
The Vellfire brochure lists two grades, Hi and VIP Executive Lounge, both 7-seaters with extra-large second-row captain seats and ottomans, a seat massage function, power roll-down sunblinds and one-touch power sliding rear doors. The VIP grade adds a 35.5 cm rear entertainment screen and a foldable rotary tray. It uses a 2.5-litre hybrid making 142 kW (193 PS) and 240 Nm with a CVT, has six airbags, and carries a 3-year or 1,00,000 km warranty.
That is a lot of car for one passenger, and for some companies it is the right one. It is not a fleet vehicle. We could not get a current Delhi price from Toyota's price feed during this check, and Toyota publishes no certified economy figure.
6. Maruti Suzuki XL6: the staff shuttle, not the luxury tier
The XL6 isn't a luxury car, and we would not send it to collect a client chairman. It earns a place because many companies need cheaper 6-seaters for staff runs alongside a few executive cars. Every XL6 has six airbags, second-row captain seats, second-row AC vents, a third-row AC with its own stage control, cruise control and 60 W Type-C charging in the second and third rows, from Rs 11,62,300 for the Zeta manual. The Zeta CNG (Rs 12,60,800) is certified at 26.23 km/kg, and the warranty is 3 years or 1,00,000 km. Bharat NCAP has not rated it. For running costs against other 6-seaters, see our 6-seater MPV running cost comparison.
Which one to buy for which job
- A pool of cars for staff and visitors: Hycross G-FLT, for the factory speed limiter, tracking provision and six airbags at Rs 18,70,000.
- Executive cars for senior managers and client pickups: Invicto Zeta Plus 7-seater at Rs 25,02,400, or the Hycross VX hybrid if you want Toyota's extended-warranty option.
- A diesel mandate: Crysta VX or ZX only, for the seven airbags.
- Leadership and board-level travel: Carnival for the uncapped warranty and ADAS, or the Vellfire for the most rear-seat equipment.
- Staff shuttles on a tight budget: XL6, ideally the CNG.
If chauffeur comfort is the main question rather than fleet policy, our chauffeur-driven MPV comparison covers rear-seat features in more detail.
Frequently asked questions
Which MPV is best for a corporate fleet in India?
The Toyota Innova Hycross. It is the only premium MPV with a dedicated fleet grade, the G-FLT from Rs 18,70,000, which adds an 80 km/h speed limiter and tracking-device readiness. Every Hycross has six airbags and the model holds a 5-star Bharat NCAP rating.
Is the Maruti Invicto good for corporate use?
Yes, as an executive car. It has the same 22.16 km/l hybrid and 5-star Bharat NCAP rating as the Hycross hybrid, at Rs 1,73,600 less than the cheapest Hycross hybrid. Its 7-seat Zeta Plus has captain seats with side tables and a second-row sunshade. It has no fleet grade, no ADAS, and the base trim has no parking sensors.
Does the Innova Crysta have six airbags?
Not on every grade. Toyota's brochure lists three airbags on the GX, GX FLT and GX Plus, and seven on the VX and ZX. A company buying for passenger safety should pick the VX or ZX.
Why are on-road prices not given?
Because they vary by state and by registration type, private or under a taxi permit. Ex-showroom prices are the only figures that are the same for every buyer in a city. Ask your dealer for an on-road quote for your registration.
Which corporate MPV has the longest warranty?
The Kia Carnival comes with 3 years and unlimited kilometres, plus an optional fifth year. The Hycross is 3 years or 1,00,000 km, extendable to 5 years or 2,20,000 km. The Invicto and Crysta brochures don't print warranty terms.
