7-Seater MUVs With Ventilated Front Seats in India: Variants and Prices
Ventilated front seats on a seven-seat MUV always mean an upper variant. The Invicto needs the Alpha Plus 7S at Rs 28,70,500, not the Zeta Plus from Rs 25,02,400; the BYD eMAX 7 needs the Superior; the Innova Hycross needs the ZX or ZX(O), for which Toyota publishes no price. The Kia Carens Clavis is cheapest, but only as a turbo-petrol HTX+ or above. No eight-seat variant of any of these has them, and the Maruti XL6 Alpha+ has them but seats six.
We could confirm ventilated front seats on seven MUVs sold in India with seven seats, each from its manufacturer's own brochure or specification table: the Kia Carens Clavis (HTX+, GTX+ and X-Line), the Kia Carens Clavis EV (HTX+ ER and above), the Maruti Suzuki Invicto Alpha Plus 7S at Rs 28,70,500, the BYD eMAX 7 Superior seven-seater at Rs 29,90,000, the Toyota Innova Hycross ZX and ZX(O), the Kia Carnival at Rs 59,64,900 and the MG M9 at Rs 79,94,800. On five of the seven the feature is kept for the top one to three trims. The two exceptions are single-variant cars that cost Rs 59 lakh and more.
That pattern is the thing to plan around. None of these seven-seaters puts ventilated seats on a base or mid variant, so the question to ask is which variant has them and what that variant costs.
Key takeaways
- The Kia Carens Clavis is the least expensive seven-seater with ventilated front seats. They start at the HTX+ trim, which is turbo-petrol only, and the whole Clavis range is priced from Rs 11,38,900 to Rs 21,78,900.
- The Maruti Suzuki Invicto has them on the Alpha Plus 7S alone. The Zeta Plus 7S and 8S, from Rs 25,02,400, do not.
- The BYD eMAX 7 fits them to the Superior trim, not the Comfort.
- The Toyota Innova Hycross has them on the ZX and ZX(O). Toyota publishes no ex-showroom prices, so we cannot print one.
- The Maruti Suzuki XL6 Alpha+ has ventilated front seats too, but it seats six, so it sits outside this list.

Prices are ex-showroom, read from each manufacturer's own website on 13 October 2026. Features by variant come from each maker's brochure, or for the BYD from the specification table on its India site. Output figures are printed in the unit each maker uses.
How this list was built and what could not be verified
A car is here if its maker's brochure or specification table shows ventilated front seats on a variant that can be ordered with seven seats. We then looked for that variant's price on the maker's own website.
The order is by price where a price exists. We did not score the cars against each other, because a Rs 20 lakh turbo-petrol and a Rs 80 lakh electric limousine are not alternatives for the same buyer.
Gaps you should know about:
- Kia variant prices. Kia's public pages give the Clavis range and the Clavis EV's starting price. Prices for the HTX+ and for the EV's HTX+ ER sit inside the configurator, which we could not read. The petrol Clavis tops out at Rs 21,78,900, so its ventilated-seat variants are at or under that figure.
- Toyota prices. Toyota publishes no ex-showroom list in India. The Hycross ZX and ZX(O) are in the table with their equipment confirmed and their price blank.
- The Toyota Vellfire. It is a seven-seater, and Toyota's India brochure does not list ventilated front seats for it, so we have left it out instead of guessing.
- Three-row SUVs. The Mahindra XUV700 and Tata Safari are SUVs, not MUVs, and we did not check their brochures for this piece.
- How well the ventilation works. These systems push cabin air through perforated upholstery. None of the brochures gives a fan-speed count for every car or any measure of cooling, and we have not tested them back to back.
Range figures for the electric cars are on different cycles (MIDC for Kia and MG, NEDC for BYD) and should not be compared directly.
Under Rs 30 lakh
Kia Carens Clavis
Kia's 2026 brochure introduces "Front Ventilated Seats" at the HTX+ trim, together with a 4-way power driver seat and rain-sensing wipers. The GTX+ builds on the HTX+ and the X-Line on the GTX+, so all three have them.
Kia's powertrain table shows those three trims with the 1.5 turbo-petrol only. The diesel stops at the HTX and the naturally aspirated petrol at the HTE (EX), so neither can be had with ventilated seats. Gearbox choice depends on the trim:
- HTX+: 6-speed manual or 6-speed iMT as a seven-seater, or 7-speed DCT with six or seven seats
- GTX+ and X-Line: 7-speed DCT, seven seats
That makes the HTX+ manual the only way to combine ventilated seats, seven seats and a clutch pedal in this whole list.
The turbo engine makes 117.5 kW and 253 Nm. Six airbags, ESC, all-wheel disc brakes and a tyre pressure monitor are standard across the range, and the DCT versions of the HTX+ add Level 2 driver assistance with 20 functions. The dual pane panoramic sunroof is also part of the package at this level. Kia prints no mileage figure in the brochure.
Kia Carens Clavis EV
The electric Clavis follows the same logic one step up. "Front Ventilated Seats" appear at the HTX+ ER, bundled with the 4-way power driver seat, a Bose 8-speaker system and vehicle-to-load. The GTX+ ER and X-Line ER inherit them. Every trim below, including all the 42 kWh versions, goes without.
All three qualifying trims use the 51.4 kWh Extended Range battery with a 126 kW motor and a claimed 490 km on the MIDC cycle. Each can be ordered with six or seven seats. Level 2 assistance and a 360 degree camera arrive lower down the range, at the HTX, so they are included.
The model starts at Rs 18,03,900 for the base HTK+. The HTX+ ER will cost a good deal more than that, and you will need a dealer or Kia's configurator for the number.
Maruti Suzuki Invicto
The Invicto's brochure grid has a "Ventilated Front Seats" line with a dash under Zeta+ and a tick under Alpha+.
| Invicto variant | Seats | Ex-showroom price | Ventilated front seats |
|---|---|---|---|
| Zeta Plus 7S | 7 | Rs 25,02,400 | No |
| Zeta Plus 8S | 8 | Rs 25,37,300 | No |
| Alpha Plus 7S | 7 | Rs 28,70,500 | Yes |
NEXA's price header runs to Rs 28.80 lakh. The Alpha Plus 7S card reads Rs 28,70,500, and we take the gap to be colour options, which the page does not state outright.
The Alpha Plus pairs the ventilated seats with leatherette upholstery, which the Zeta Plus does not get, and an 8-way power driver seat with memory. The second row has captain seats with a side table and walk-in slide, and the rear cabin gets its own automatic climate zone on this variant.
It is a strong hybrid, which neither Kia is: a 1,987 cc petrol engine and motor with a total system output of 139 kW (188.9 PS), an e-CVT, and a claimed 22.16 km/l that is the same on every variant. Six airbags are standard and Bharat NCAP rated it 5 stars.
The weaknesses are plain enough. Rs 28,70,500 is about Rs 3.68 lakh more than the base car, and you cannot buy the ventilated seats without the rest of the Alpha Plus equipment. There is no driver assistance package on any Invicto. And a buyer who needs eight seats is confined to the Zeta Plus 8S, which has no seat ventilation, no parking sensors and no 360 view camera.
BYD eMAX 7
BYD's India specification table has separate lines for "Ventilated - driver seat" and "Ventilated - front passenger seat". Both show a dot for the Superior and a dash for the Comfort. The Superior's front seats are also power-adjustable, 6-way for the driver and 4-way for the passenger, where the Comfort's are manual.
| eMAX 7 variant | Ex-showroom price | Ventilated front seats |
|---|---|---|
| Comfort 7 seat | Rs 28,30,000 | No |
| Superior 6 seat | Rs 29,30,000 | Yes |
| Superior 7 seat | Rs 29,90,000 | Yes |
The Superior uses a 150 kW motor with 310 Nm and a 71.8 kWh Blade battery, for a claimed 530 km on the NEDC cycle. It also has a panoramic glass roof and adaptive cruise control. Six airbags are standard on both trims.
At Rs 29,90,000 the seven-seat Superior costs Rs 1,19,500 more than the Invicto Alpha Plus. One is electric and one is a petrol hybrid, so that comparison is really about whether you can charge at home.
Above Rs 30 lakh, or price not published
Toyota Innova Hycross
Toyota's grid describes the front seats of the ZX and ZX(O) as "Ventilated, Separate Seats with Slide & Recline, Driver Seat Height Adjust". The five grades below, from G-SLF to VX(O), have no ventilation.
Both qualifying grades are hybrids and seven-seaters, with powered ottoman captain seats in the second row, a power back door and a second climate zone for the rear. Toyota Safety Sense is on the ZX(O) only. The hybrid system is rated at 139 kW (183.7 HP) and 22.16 km/l.
So the Hycross needs its top two grades for a feature the Invicto also keeps for its top one. The difference between them is the ottoman seats and the ADAS option on the Toyota side, and a published price on the Maruti side. For a wider comparison of this pair and their rivals, see our list of MPVs with 6 airbags in India.
Kia Carnival
One variant, Limousine Plus, Rs 59,64,900, seven seats in a 2+2+3 layout. The brochure lists "Front Seats with Ventilation & Heating Function", and the second-row relaxation seats are ventilated and heated as well. That makes it one of two cars here that cool the people in the back.
A 2.2 litre diesel with 142 kW and an 8-speed automatic, eight airbags, three-zone climate control and Level 2 assistance complete the specification.
MG M9
The M9 is an electric seven-seater in a single Presidential Limo trim at Rs 79,94,800. MG's brochure lists heating, ventilation and massage for the front and rear seats. The driver's seat adjusts 12 ways and the second-row seats 16 ways.
The battery is 90 kWh with a claimed 548 km on the MIDC cycle, the motor is rated at 245 PS and 350 Nm, and there are seven airbags. Our chauffeur-driven MPV guide covers cars at this end of the market.
What about the Ertiga and XL6?
The Maruti Suzuki XL6 Alpha+ lists ventilated seats for the driver and co-driver in its brochure. It seats six, in a 2+2+2 layout with captain seats, so it does not answer a seven-seater question. If six seats would do, our 6-seater MPV list has it.
The Ertiga, which does seat seven, has no ventilated seat line anywhere in its equipment list.
Frequently asked questions
Which is the cheapest 7-seater with ventilated front seats in India?
The Kia Carens Clavis HTX+ with the turbo-petrol engine. Kia prices the whole Clavis range between Rs 11,38,900 and Rs 21,78,900, though its public page does not show the HTX+ price on its own.
Does the Maruti Invicto have ventilated seats?
Yes, on the Alpha Plus 7S at Rs 28,70,500 ex-showroom, for the front seats only. The Zeta Plus 7S and Zeta Plus 8S do not have them.
Which Toyota Innova Hycross variants have ventilated seats?
The ZX and ZX(O), both hybrid seven-seaters. Toyota does not publish ex-showroom prices for them.
Are there 7-seaters with ventilated second-row seats?
Two on this list. The Kia Carnival's second-row relaxation seats have ventilation and heating, and the MG M9 lists ventilation for front and rear seats. On the Clavis, Clavis EV, Invicto, eMAX 7 and Hycross the brochures list it for the front seats only.
Does the Maruti XL6 have ventilated front seats?
Yes, on the Alpha+ and Alpha+ AT. The XL6 is a six-seater, so it is not part of this seven-seater list.
Can I get ventilated seats in an 8-seater MUV?
Not from the brochures we read. The Invicto Zeta Plus 8S and the eight-seat Hycross grades do not have them. Ventilated seats on both cars come only with the seven-seat captain-chair layout.
Is a hybrid or an electric MUV better if I want ventilated seats?
The feature works the same way in both. The choice comes down to charging access and how far you drive. The Invicto and Hycross claim 22.16 km/l on petrol; the Clavis EV, eMAX 7 and M9 claim 490 km, 530 km and 548 km on their respective test cycles.
